Class Description

A review of Arizona State Laws, street threats, and the unique responsibilities that govern the use of nonlethal and deadly force. This course is highly informational and is recommended for all Arizona residents; it also meets the Arizona requirements to obtain a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit (see CCW Requirements for important details).  Instruction provided by an NRA Certified Instructor.

  • Overview of Arizona & Federal Law
  • Using lethal force & its consequences
  • Interacting with Law Enforcement
  • Fingerprinting & completing forms
    (All forms and fingerprinting included)
CCW Requirements
  • Age 21 and over
  • Photo ID
    (drivers license, state-issued ID, or passport)
  • $60 State of Arizona Application Fee
    (Certified funds made payable directly to the AZ Dept of Public Safety)
  • If you are in possession of a medical marijuana card or a user of any controlled substance, you are not eligible to obtain a CCW, as per the State of Arizona. You may still attend and complete this course for its' knowledge. Students attending the course, whether in whole or partial, who have a medical marijuana card are not eligible for class refunds.
  • All students should review the requirements to obtain their CCW by visiting AZDPS.GOV to ensure they meet them before enrolling or attending class.
  • Questions related to the ability to obtain and possess a CCW license should be directed to AZ DPS at 602-223-2000.
